On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, City of Tucson Mayor and Council adopted Planning and Development Services (PDSD) development review fee increases. The development review fee increases affect PDSD, the Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), and Tucson Fire. The fee increase is generally 3.5% in FY2025 and 3.5% in FY2026. The Year One Fee Schedule went into effective July 1, 2024. The Year Two Fee Schedule is effective as of July 1, 2025.

The current rate for Planning & Development Services is $85.39 per hour. After-hours and unscheduled inspection services can be accommodated depending on inspector availability for a minimum two-hour charge.
The fees for excavation permits are located within the City Code, Chapter 25-4.
Fees for Electric and Gas Reconnect permits are $118.51 + $17.08 Digital Filing Fee, which includes the appropriate inspection. Customers must place a gas pressure test on the line prior to inspection of gas lines. Contact your contractor or your local hardware store for the test assembly.
