The Neighborhood Resources team supports Neighborhood Associations (NAs) with a variety of services and resources.

Neighborhood Association Registration

Neighborhood associations are typically formed for the benefit of the residents; to help them know one another better, to establish positive relationships, increase communication and work on issues of concern together.

Neighborhood Mailings

The City will fund up to two (2) mailings per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) for each Neighborhood Association upon request.

Responsibilities of Neighborhood Associations

NAs are required to hold one annual meeting to conduct officer elections and submit the following to Neighborhood@tucsonaz.gov:

  • Annual Meeting Minutes
  • Officer Information Release forms for each officer elected, including re-elected officers and any officer changes throughout the year (e.g., interim officers)

If NA Bylaws are updated, submit the amended bylaws to Neighborhood@tucsonaz.gov

The City of Tucson has over 140 registered NAs.

Neighborhood Resources can assist NAs reserve a location to hold meetings. Please contact Neighborhood@tucsonaz.gov to learn more.

Neighborhood Nugget

This Neighborhood Resources Newsletter is sent out to NA leaders with interesting topics, events, and information. 

We must be alerted of officer changes to make sure the Nugget is being sent to the current board members.

Neighborhood Clean-ups

NAs can organize Neighborhood Clean-ups, with roll-off bins provided by the Environmental Services Department (ESD). Please find the information on the ESD webpage.

Important Note: NAs can add a short meeting announcement to the postcard provided by ESD to remind neighbors of an upcoming meeting.
